This concept idea was created during an internship at the Alfred-Wegner-Institute Bremerhaven in close cooperation with leading scientists and local stakeholders. Its goal was to create a pilot project located in Bremerhaven at the Zollinlandsplatz, demonstrating new possible connections between architecture, science and city development. The project displays the potential role of architecture on communication between science and public. Based on the idea of a market hall, it combines an aquaponic system as well as information and cafeteria areas. The concept has successfully past several reviews and is now with the city council for further elaboration. (For more information go to DOWNLOADS.)
